Very disappointed, what a joke this is.***UPDATE***Went to manufacturers website and MCaffe detected a JS.Redirector Trojan on the VIVA Media store front. Do not visit the site, I am not even going to try and install this, absolutely ridiculous, it's a $13 virus, awesome, sending this piece back to amazon for a refund, save yourself the time. So I go to the viva-media website that the box says and Google chrome says website contains malicious material from an adult site. I have looked for a pdf on the disk or a txt file and nothing. Run the installer and it asks for a serial number, the quick start card says to print the manual after install, the install says to look at back of the manual "if" it asks for a serial code. game looks great, got if for christmas. So how do I look at the manual for the serial code if I have to install the game to get the serial code. What is going on with this game.
When I tried to run the software all I got was a white screen. The first version of Crazy Machines worked just fine, too bad this one didn't. Could not get this software to install correctly on my PC. I tried another PC in the house (a more powerful one) and got the same results.
A couple of weeks later, I bought a new graphics card that met the requirements of the game and all is well now. I e-mailed Viva Media's customer/tech support and they explained to me that the problem was my computer. Otherwise, you'll just be upset and disappointed when you can't play the game and judging by the reviews that I've read on here, it sounds like that was the case for some :-(Other than that, great game. Loved both games and they ran great. I have to ask my wife and son for help for most of the puzzles :-D The system requirements for CM 2 are more demanding than CM 1 or 1.5 and I did not have the proper video/graphics card to play it.
I can't figure it out by myself tho. I have Crazy Machines 1 and 1.5. When I bought CM 2 however, I placed it in my computer to installed the game, the cogs kept spinning and it wouldn't start. I can play it without any problems.A word of advice to all: Make sure that your PC can actually play the game before buying the product.
Nada.Be aware that Windows 7 refuses to install the game. Zip. Another example of software publisher paranoia making their products worthless. This is a great game, but the publisher offers no tech support. Zero. The installer halts because it attempts to install a device driver (a copy protection scheme), which Windows 7 sees as dangerous (and probably for good reason).
By the time this game was opened as a gift, my time had lapsed to get a refund, so it was a complete waste of money. This game would download to my computer and others, but would not play as there is a missing file from the disk itself. Too bad, as I was looking forwarding to playing it with my family.
